Tesla has released subtle updates for its flagship models, the Model S sedan and Model X SUV.
The changes include a new paint color called Frost Blue, new wheel designs that aid efficiency, an additional front-facing camera to improve visibility, dynamic ambient lighting when entering the vehicle, and adaptive headlights.
In the Model X, the third-row space has been increased, while the Model S Plaid received a new exterior design for greater stability at high speeds.
Additionally, the automaker has improved vehicle comfort by upgrading the suspension bushings, enhancing sound insulation, and adding active noise cancellation, making the cabin quieter. The standard-range Model S also gained a bit more range, increasing from 646 to 660 kilometers according to the EPA.
Finally, the updates come with a considerable price increase, with all versions of both models becoming $5,000 more expensive. The Model S now starts at $86,630, and the Plaid version exceeds $100,000. The Model X starts at $91,630, and the X Plaid begins at $106,630.
The updated vehicles are already available for order, with an estimated delivery time of two to four weeks.
